Using the Waitlist

This guide walks you through the process of adding a client to the waitlist and booking an appointment once availability arises. Follow the simple steps below to efficiently manage waitlisted appointments.

1. Adding a Client to the Waitlist

  • Open the Appointment Assistant: Click the wand icon located at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
  • Select the Client: Click on the client icon in the top left to choose your client.
  • Set Appointment Preferences:
    • Select the desired date range (e.g., today).
    • Choose the time range during which the client is available.
    • Choose the service (e.g., style cut).
    • Select the requested employee (e.g., Helen).
  • Search for Availability: Click 'Search.' If no appointment times are available, you will be prompted to add the client to the waitlist. Click Yes.
  • You will be prompted to search for alternate times. press No.

2. Viewing the Waitlist

  • Access the Waitlist: Click the hourglass icon at the bottom left to view the waitlist for the selected date.
  • Check Waitlist Status: The client’s status will show as "waiting." Click Done to return to the appointment book.

3. Booking a Waitlisted Appointment

  • Wait for Availability: If an appointment slot opens (e.g., a cancellation), a notification will appear in the bottom left corner of your screen.
  • Book the Appointment:
    • Click on the waitlist icon and select all bookable requests.
    • The client's status will change to "bookable."
    • Click on the appointment and select Schedule.
  • Select a Time: Available times (e.g., 1:30 PM) will be displayed. Choose the time and click Book Now to confirm the appointment.

This simple process ensures clients are added to the waitlist and promptly booked when a suitable time becomes available.
