The Trading Summary Report provides a detailed breakdown of your business's takings, sales, liabilities, redemptions, and key employee performance indicators. This report helps monitor incoming and outgoing payments and includes a breakdown of product, service, and sundry sales for both employees and the business.
Sections
1. Takings
This section outlines the business takings categorized by payment type and includes the total takings across all payment types.
2. Net Receipts
Formula:
Net Receipts = Total Takings + Cash Rounding + Purchases on Account
This represents the adjusted total of funds received by the business.
3. Sales
This section details:

Quantity of sales for services, products, and sundry items

Sales value inclusive and exclusive of tax
4. Prepayments & Liabilities
This section displays outstanding business liabilities due to the sale of:

8. Ticket Averages
Each client transaction is referred to as a 'ticket'. The ticket average is calculated as follows:
Ticket Average = Total Sales / Total Number of Tickets
This metric helps assess the average client spend per visit.
9. Net Sales
Net Sales represent the total revenue-generating sales and cash-based sales that are not considered revenue.
Key Consideration: Net Sales should not be used as a direct indicator of business revenue but is useful for reconciling sales with takings.
10. Liabilities
Represents the total money owed to clients due to the purchase of gift certificates, series sales, and the accrual of points.
Formula:
Liabilities = Gift Certificate Sales + Series Sales + Local Points Accrued - Gift Certificate Redemptions - Series Redemptions - Local Points Redemptions
