Understand how to streamline appointment tracking with colour-coded service status updates

Enabling Service Status Tracking in Your Appointment Book

To track the status of services in your appointment book, follow these simple steps:

  1. Enable Service Status:
    • Go to the Setup menu.
    • Select Configuration.
    • Click on the General tab on the left.
    • Go to the Appointment Book settings
    • Tick the option for Track Appointment Service Status.
    • Press Done.
    • Restart Shortcuts to apply the changes.

Using Service Status During Appointments

Once service status tracking is enabled, you'll see color-coded blocks in the appointment book to indicate the status of each appointment:

  • Blue and Yellow Block: The client has arrived, but the service hasn't started yet.
  • Blue and Brown Block: The service is in progress.
  • Blue and Gray Block: The service is complete.

Completing the Service

  • To mark a service as started, right-click on the appointment and select Service Has Started.
  • Once the service is finished, right-click again and select Finish.

Final Step: Checkout

After completing all services, you can proceed with the usual checkout process for the client.

By following these steps, you can easily manage and track the status of each service throughout the appointment.
