This guide walks you through setting up and processing tips in Shortcuts.
Setting Up Tip Options

Access Tip Settings

Navigate to the Setup Menu.

Select Configuration from the menu options.

Click Point of Sale under Sales on the left-hand side.

Configure Tip Preferences

Enable Allow Tips by ticking the checkbox in the right column.

Choose additional options based on your preferences:

Allocate Tips to Employees: Allows tips to be assigned directly from the register.

Allocate Tips to the Business: Enables tips to be allocated to the business instead of employees.

Enter Tips When Clocking Off: Allows tips to be entered during employee clock-out.

Prompt Clients for Tips: Displays a prompt for clients to add a tip when paying by card.

Set Tip Limits

Maximum Percentage Limit: Enter a percentage cap for tips based on the total sale.

Maximum Amount Limit: Specify a maximum dollar amount for tips.

Processing Tips at the Point of Sale

Add Tips to a Sale

At the POS screen, select the Tip Button.

Choose the employee to allocate the tip.

Default: Employee assigned to the sale items.

Optional: Select another employee using the filter or search function.

Input the desired tip amount.

To allocate tips to multiple employees, repeat the process by clicking the Tip Button again.
