Setting Up and Printing Quotes in Shortcuts POS

This guide explains how to set up and print quotes in Shortcuts Point of Sale (POS). Follow these simple steps to configure quote settings, create quotes, and print them for your clients

Configuring Quote Settings

  1. Access Configuration Settings:

    • Go to Setup in the bottom-right corner.

    • Select Configuration from the menu.

    • Go to Sales > Point of Sale on the left menu 
  2. Enable Quote Terms:

    • Ensure the Quote Terms option is enabled (ticked).

  3. Add Terms and Conditions:

    • Enter any Terms and Conditions or Expiry Dates for quotes in the designated field.

    • Click Done to save changes.

  4. Restart Shortcuts (if needed):

    • Restart the application to apply the changes if they do not appear immediately.


Printing a Quote

  1. Open a New Sale:

    • Navigate to Point of Sale in the top-left corner.

    • Click New Sale.

  2. Add a Client:

    • Search for an existing client or add a new one.

    • Select the client and press Next.

  3. Add Items to the Quote:

    • Click on the sale line.

    • Select an employee’s name.

    • Choose the required services.

    • Press Done when finished.

  4. Review the Estimate:

    • The estimated total will be displayed at the bottom.

  5. Print the Quote:

    • Click Quote to print the estimate via your receipt printer.


Quote Format

Printed quotes include the following details:

  • Client Information: Name, date, and time.

  • Business Details: Shop name and contact information.

  • Quotation Breakdown: List of services and pricing.

  • Validity Period: Quotes are valid for 14 days.
