Setting Up and Customizing Your My Salon App

The My Salon App empowers businesses by putting their services directly into clients' hands. This guide outlines the steps for configuring your app and customizing its appearance.

1. Configuring Site Settings

Accessing Site Details

  • Log in to the Shortcut Smart System Console.

  • Select Site Settings to confirm and update your site details.

  • If you manage multiple sites, use the drop-down menu to switch between them.

Adding Business Information

  • Fill in essential details such as product brands and business descriptions.

  • Add gallery images:

    • Select Site Gallery and click Choose File to upload images.

    • Click Upload Image to save changes.

2. Managing Dashboard Tiles

Understanding Default Tiles

Navigate to the My Salon App tile to view and edit dashboard tiles:

  • My Appointments: Allows clients to manage past and future bookings.

  • About: Displays business details, including location, description, and product brands.

  • My Profile: Enables clients to update personal information, such as name and contact details.

  • Book Now: Facilitates new appointment bookings.

  • Meet the Team: Introduces staff members and allows bookings with specific employees.

  • Specials: Highlights current promotions.

  • Services: Displays available services and booking options.

  • News: Shows recent Facebook posts and links to your page (ensure Facebook is linked in Book Me Settings).

  • Check-In and Visit History: Integrates with the walk-in manager for real-time updates and past visit logs.

Editing Tiles

  • Click a tile name to edit its label and image.

  • Upload new images by selecting Choose File and clicking Save.

Adding Custom Tiles

  • Click New Tile to create a custom link (e.g., blog or social media).

  • Enter a label, URL, and upload an image.

  • Save changes and arrange tiles on the dashboard by dragging and dropping.

3. Customizing the Dashboard Layout

  • Arrange tiles by dragging them into position (maximum of three tiles per row).

  • Remove tiles by dragging them to the Inactive Tiles box.

  • Restore tiles by dragging them back to the dashboard.
