Rebooking Overview

The rebooking feature in Shortcuts allows you to efficiently schedule future appointments for clients while ensuring employee credits are assigned correctly. Here’s how to set it up and use it:

1. Enable the Rebooking Feature

Before you can use the rebooking function, ensure it’s activated in the system. Follow these steps:

  • Go to the Setup menu and select Configuration on the right-side menu.
  • Under Sales > Point of Sale on the left-side menu ensure that Ask to Rebook is checked.
  • In the General section, click on Appointment Book.
  • Check the box for Rebooking Prompt to Assign Employee Credit.
  • Press Done to save your changes, then restart Shortcuts to apply the settings.

2. Using the Rebooking Feature During Checkout

Once the rebooking prompt is enabled, you can start rebooking appointments during checkout. Here’s how:

  • Right-click on the client's appointment and select Checkout.
  • Process the payment as usual.
  • The Rebooking Prompt will appear. Click Rebook to begin scheduling the next appointment.

3. Scheduling the Next Appointment

You can schedule the next appointment based on the client’s preferences:

  • Choose a date and time for the appointment. For example, if a client likes to visit every four weeks, you can skip ahead in the calendar by right-clicking on the week or selecting a date from the top left.
  • Once the date and time are set, press Next.
  • Select the service and press Done.

4. Assigning Employee Credits

If you need to assign employee credits for the appointment:

  • You’ll be prompted to assign credit to the employee who attended to the client. Click Yes and select the appropriate employee.
  • If another employee was involved, select Yes again and assign credit to the second employee. If not, simply press No.

5. Completing the Transaction

After scheduling the future appointment and assigning credits:

  • Press Finish Sale to complete the transaction.
  • All future appointments will appear on the receipt.
