Promotions Overview

The Promotions feature in Enterprise Live allows businesses to create and manage custom promotions applied automatically at the point of sale.

Setting Up a New Promotion

  1. Access the Promotions Feature

    • Navigate to the Configuration Menu and click the Promotions button.
    • Select the region where you wish to create the promotion, then click Create New Promotion.
  2. Enter Promotion Details

    • Name: Enter a name for the promotion.
    • Description: Add a description for clarity.
    • Coupon: If clients need to present a coupon, tick the box and enter the coupon barcode.
  3. Define Promotion Scope

    • General Promotions: Available to all clients.
    • Membership or Loyalty Programs: Choose "Related Program" and select the relevant program.
    • Clubs: Select "Related Club" and specify the club. Adjust points earned per $100 if needed.
  4. Exclusive Options

    • For new members, set a welcome offer and specify eligibility duration in days.
    • Limit the promotion to a specific number of sales, if required.
  5. Set Valid Dates and Times

    • Define the timeframe or leave it open for continuous availability.
  6. Employee Credit

    • Assign credit to employees for sales involving promotional discounts, if applicable.

Defining Promotion Eligibility

  1. Choose Eligibility Type

    • Specific Items in the Sale: Requires clients to purchase specific items.
    • Total Spend: Eligibility is based on spending a minimum amount on certain or all items.
    • Purchases Over Time: Tracks spending or item purchases across multiple visits.
  2. Specify Eligible Items

    • Double-click categories to view or hide items.
    • Use the "All" column for required items or combinations (e.g., both an eyebrow wax and full leg wax).
    • Use the "Any" column for flexible options (e.g., a body scrub or cleansing facial).
  3. Set Spend Requirements

    • For total spend-based promotions, enter the minimum spend amount.
  4. Limit Applications Per Transaction

    • Specify how many times the promotion can be applied per transaction.

Specifying Promotion Benefits

  1. Select Benefit Type

    • Items Purchased Under This Promotion: Discount applies to items making the client eligible.
    • Entire Sale: Discount applies to the total sale.
    • Specified Items: Benefits depend on a separate eligibility item (e.g., "Buy shampoo, get conditioner free").
  2. Choose Discount Type

    • Percentage Reduction: A percentage discount.
    • Reduction by Specified Amount: A fixed dollar discount.
    • Fixed Price Per Item: Define a set price for the benefit items.
    • Cost Price or Gross Margin Percentage Reduction: Apply discounts based on item cost or gross margin.
  3. Bonus Points

    • Award extra points for items if the promotion is linked to a loyalty club.
  4. Save and Finalize

    • Click Done to save the promotion. At the point of sale, the discount will appear in green in the discount column.

Tips for Maximizing Promotions

  • Combine Discounts: Promotions can stack with existing club or loyalty discounts.
  • Welcome Offers: Use exclusive promotions to attract and reward new members.
  • Monitor Effectiveness: Track usage and adjust eligibility criteria or benefits to optimize impact.
