Making an Appointment for a New Client

This guide provides a step-by-step process for scheduling an appointment in the appointment book using Shortcuts. Follow these simple instructions to efficiently book appointments for your clients.

Step 1: Select the Time Slot

  • Navigate to the desired time in the appointment book (e.g., 2:00 PM).
  • Click on the empty block that corresponds to the chosen time.

Step 2: Add or Search for a Client

  • Use the Shortcuts feature to search for an existing client or add a new one.
  • For a new client, enter their name and capture their contact information, such as phone number. If the client opts into marketing, you can select this option as well.

Step 3: Assign a Client Tag

  • When prompted, assign a tag to the client (e.g., "New Client"). This helps you track customer types for reports at the end of the month or quarter.

Step 4: Select the Service

  • Choose the service the client requires. For example, if the client wants a women's haircut, select the appropriate category (e.g., "Haircuts > Women's Haircut").
  • Confirm the service is scheduled with the assigned staff member (e.g., Sam).

Step 5: Finalise the Appointment

  • After reviewing the details, click "Done" to complete the appointment booking.
