L'Oreal Stock Orders
This guide outlines the step-by-step process for integrating the Shortcuts stock ordering feature with your L’Oréal account.
Step 1: Download the Product Template from L’Oréal
- Log in to your L’Oréal account.
- Navigate to the Downloads section:
- Look for the area highlighted in red (template download).
- Download the product template to your computer.
Step 2: Configure Shortcuts for L’Oréal Stock Ordering
- Open Shortcuts and navigate to Inventory > Products in the right-hand menu.
- Select Sort by Supplier and choose L’Oréal from the list.
- Update your supplier email details:
- Click the Details option (three dots) at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter your preferred email address in the email field on the bottom left (not the right-hand email field).
- Change the order file format:
- Under Ordering, switch from PDF to CSV.
- Click Done to save the changes.
- Reboot Shortcuts to ensure the updates take effect.
Step 3: Place Your Stock Order in Shortcuts
- Proceed with placing your stock order in Shortcuts as you normally would.
- The order will be emailed to the address you specified earlier.
Step 4: Transfer Data to the L’Oréal Template
- Save the CSV file received via email to your desktop.
- Open both the downloaded L’Oréal template and the CSV file from Shortcuts.
Map the fields from the Shortcuts file to the L’Oréal template:
- Product Code or Barcode:
- From the Shortcuts file: Column G (Product Code) or Column H (Barcode).
- Ensure the barcode format in Column H is correct:
- Highlight Column H.
- Right-click and select Format Cells.
- Change the format to Number with 0 decimal places.
- Copy and paste the data into Column D (EAN) of the L’Oréal template.
- Order Quantity:
- From the Shortcuts file: Column M.
- Copy and paste the data into the corresponding column in the L’Oréal template.
- Save the updated L’Oréal template file to your desktop.
Step 5: Upload the Completed Template to L’Oréal
- Return to your L’Oréal account.
- Navigate to the upload section (highlighted in green).
- Upload the saved file.
- Verify the upload success message.
Tips for a Smooth Process
- Ensure Microsoft Excel or a similar spreadsheet tool is installed on your computer.
- Double-check the format of your barcode data to avoid errors during upload.
- Save files to your desktop for easy access.
