Shortcuts Marketing Plus: How to Use Targeted Marketing 

Targeted marketing is a powerful tool for creating personalized marketing campaigns using the features available in Marketing Plus. This guide walks you through the process of creating a one-time campaign, from generating a recipient list to activating the campaign.

 

1. Generate a Client List in Shortcuts Fusion

  • Access Marketing Tools: Open Shortcuts Fusion, navigate to the Tools menu, and select Marketing.
  • Define Search Criteria: Enter specific search parameters (e.g., clients who have never purchased a certain product). Click Compute to generate the list.
  • Refine the List:
    • Exclude clients who lack essential contact details (e.g., no email address).
    • Press Generate to finalize the list.
  • Select Campaign Type: Choose SMS or Email for your campaign.
  • Save the Campaign Identifier: Note the unique campaign number displayed. You’ll need it later.

2. Set Up the Campaign in Marketing Plus

  • Create a New Campaign:
    • Log in to Marketing plus
    • Select Create a New Campaign and choose an email or SMS campaign.
  • Select a Template:
    • Use an existing template (e.g., from the newsletter category).
    • Edit the content as needed (changes won’t save to the template library).
  • Customize Campaign Details:
    • Add a subject line.
    • Make necessary adjustments to the design and content.
  • Set Demographics:
    • Tick the Demographic Criteria box.
    • Navigate to the Demographics tab and select Shortcut Software Administration Demographics.
    • Choose Bulk Marketing Campaign Tag and enter the campaign identifier from Shortcuts Fusion.
  • Check Recipients: Verify the recipient count (adjustments may occur due to opt-outs or invalid contact details).

3. Finalize and Activate the Campaign

  • Proofread and Test:
    • Send a test campaign to yourself.
    • Proofread the content, check the subject line, verify spelling, and ensure all links are functional.
  • Confirm Quality Checks:
    • Tick confirmation boxes for each test step.
    • Press Check Now to validate the recipient count again if needed.
  • Activate the Campaign: Once satisfied, activate the campaign and confirm by pressing OK.
