How to Send a One-Time SMS Blast Using Marketing in the Cloud
One-off marketing campaigns allows you to send SMSs to your customers. You can use these campaigns to engage with customers and boost booking volumes, such as by promoting a special offer, announcing new services, or sharing salon updates.
1. Log In to Shortcuts Marketing by the Cloud
- Open your internet browser and navigate to www.pos.shortcutssoftware.com.
- Use your console login credentials (username and password) to sign in.
- If already logged into the console, click the cloud icon on the home screen to access the platform directly.
2. Set up your one-time marketing campaign
- From the Menu select Messages.
- At the bottom of the screen, select the “Message all clients” option.
- Select the “New” icon.
- Enter the details of the campaign, including:
- Name of the campaign
- The gender of clients this will be sent to
- The send date
- The send time
3. Send campaign via SMS
- Select "SMS" from the campaign screen.
- Select if SMS should “Always’ be sent” or “Only if no email will be sent”.
- Enter the message you want to use in the SMS. You can select the “Insert field” dropdown for various personalisation fields to include in your message, such as Customer Name, Appointment Time, and more.
- You can send yourself a test of the SMS using the "Send test" button.
- Once you’re happy with your SMS, select the green “Activate” button.
- Select the "Done" icon in the bottom right corner to save your changes.
⚠️Be sure to consider how many SMSs your message will require. A single SMS uses 160 characters (including opt out instructions, personalisation fields), so anything more will affect how many you get billed for.
