Selling Online Gift Cards
Steps to Set Up:
Website Widget Code:
- Go to the Gift Card, Loyalty and Memberships tile in the Shortcuts Customer Console: https://console.shortcutssoftware.com
- Navigate to Administration-Program
- Edit the digital Gift Card Setup as needed and copy the widget code
- Contact your web developer and provide the widget code from Shortcuts.
- Once added, customers can purchase gift cards directly from your website.
Customer Experience:
- Purchase Process:
- Customers click the “Buy Gift Card” option on your website.
- They fill out recipient details, include a personalized message, and press “Pay Now” to finalize the purchase.
- Delivery:
- A scannable gift card with the message is sent to the recipient’s email.
- The purchaser receives an email receipt.
Redeeming Online Gift Cards
- Navigate to the Shortcuts Point-of-Sale
- Bring up the clients bill.
- Click the Gift / Loyalty payment button and select the Loyalty / Gift Card option.
- Scan or Enter Gift Card Details (Use a 2D barcode scanner to scan the gift card from a phone or manually enter the gift card number).
- Enter Payment Amount to be paid using the gift card
- For any remaining balance, process it as usual using the appropriate payment method.
- Select Finish Sale and press Redeem to finalise the gift card payment.
