How to Deactivate an Employee

To successfully deactivate an employee in the system, you must first remove any future appointments associated with them. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth process.

Step 1: Remove Future Appointments

  1. Navigate to Tools > Reports.
  2. Under the Employee category, select Future Appointments and click View.
  3. Choose the employee you want to deactivate (e.g., Anna), and press Add and then View.
  4. Select a date range that includes all future appointments (e.g., from the 24th to next year), and click View.
  5. Print the list of future bookings and move the appointments to another employee’s column as necessary.

Step 2: Inactivate the Employee

  1. Go to Setup > Employees.
  2. Use the dropdown menu to select the employee (e.g., Anna).
  3. Untick the Active box for the employee. Confirm that any future tasks will be removed, then click Yes.
  4. Click Save to finalise the deactivation.

Step 3: Reactivating an Employee

  1. Go to Setup > Employees.
  2. To view inactive employees, click on Show Inactive Employees at the top left of the employee list.
  3. Select the employee you wish to reactivate, tick the Active box, and press Save.
