Creating an SMS campaign can effectively engage your clients, share news, and promote specials. This guide provides a step-by-step process for setting up a one-time SMS campaign using Shortcuts Marketing Plus
1. Getting Started
- Log In: Access your Shortcuts Marketing Plus account and select "Create a New Campaign."
- Choose Campaign Type: Click on SMS to enter the campaign editor.
2. Composing Your SMS
- Enter Message Content: Use the SMS Content tab to write your message.
- Use Templates: Access and edit existing SMS templates or create a new one.
- Personalization: Include personalized fields (e.g., client name) to grab attention, but be mindful of character limits.
- Business Details: Always include your business name and phone number.
- Character Limits:
- Stay within one message (160 characters) to avoid additional charges.
- The character counter will alert you if you exceed the limit.
Tip: Keep the message concise and actionable.
3. Configuring Send Options
- Campaign Name: Choose a clear name for internal tracking.
- Frequency: Select "Once Only."
- Send Date and Time: Schedule the campaign for a specific date and time.
- Avoid Duplicates: Enable the option to prevent duplicate messages to the same client.
- Reply Details: Confirm where replies will be sent.
4. Defining Your Audience
- Default Audience: Campaigns are sent to all members by default.
- Targeted Demographics:
- Add scenarios to narrow the audience (e.g., gender, last visit date).
- Check recipients to confirm the audience size.
- Edit or Remove Scenarios: Adjust the targeting as needed.
5. Tracking Promotions
- Add a Promotion Code: If applicable, link a promotion code to track ROI.
- Creating a Promotion Code:
- Save your campaign and navigate to the admin menu.
- Create a new promotion code and save it.
- Return to your campaign and select the promotion code.
- Creating a Promotion Code:
- Link to Discounts: In Setup > Configuration, connect the promotion code to a discount reason for tracking.
