Creating a custom email template in Forget Marketing is a straightforward process. This guide will help you design reusable, branded templates that can be adapted for future campaigns. Follow these steps to craft a professional and engaging email layout.

 

Getting Started: Accessing the Template Builder

  1. Log In: Start by logging into Set &Forget Marketing.
  2. Navigate to the Template Library: Click on "Template Library", then select "Design Your Own Template".
  3. Set Up Your Template:
    • Give your template a name.
    • Assign it to an existing category or create a new one.
    • (Optional) Add a subject line now or later.

Building the Layout

Adding Elements

  • Drag elements (e.g., text, images, social media links) from the right-hand menu into the main design area.
  • Rearrange elements using drag-and-drop functionality.

Copying or Removing Elements

  • Copy: Use the copy icon to duplicate an element.
  • Remove: Click the X icon to delete an element.

Working with Images

Adding Images

  • Click "Browse" to upload an image or choose from the gallery/stock folders.

Editing Images

  • Resize images while maintaining proportions by checking the "lock" box, then adjust width or height.
  • Add links to images by entering a URL.
  • Customize image borders, padding, and alignment in the Edit Tab.

Advanced Editing

  • Use the Avery Photo Editor to apply effects and filters. Click Save when done.

Styling Your Template

  • Email Background: Applies to the entire email.
  • Content Style: Customizes individual elements.
  • Uniform Styling: Apply the same style across all elements for consistency.

Adding and Editing Text

  • Select a text field to edit.
  • Use the available text formatting tools or the Styling Tab for further customization.

Personalization

  • Insert merge fields (e.g., client name, company name) from the Personalized Field Menu.
  • Ensure the relevant data is configured in your settings beforehand.

Pre-Written Content

  • Access pre-written copy by expanding categories in the Shortcut Software Admin section.
  • Insert selected messages directly into your text fields.

Social Media Links and Share Buttons

  • Edit Social Media Links: Manually add links or use pre-configured settings from your campaign.
  • Share Buttons: Allow clients to share your email by enabling buttons for platforms like Facebook or Twitter.

Using Dividers

  • Dividers help visually separate sections of your email.
  • Adjust divider width and color in the editing options.

Preview and Save

  • Use the Preview Buttons to check the template’s appearance on desktop and mobile.
  • Click Save to finalize your template.
