How to Back Up Your Shortcuts Data

Regularly backing up your Shortcuts data ensures that your client information, appointments, service menu, and stock details are secure.

Steps to Back Up Your Data

For Returning Users:

  1. Go to Tools in your Shortcuts system.
  2. Select Backup.
  3. Check the backup location is to your external hard drive.

  4. Click Backup Now.

  5. Once the backup is complete, press Done.

 


For First-Time Users:

  1. Plug in your USB or external hard drive.
  2. Go to Tools and select Backup.

    Click Advanced, choose your connected device and press OK.
  4. Click Backup Now.

  5. Once the backup is complete, press Done.


Best Practices

  • Frequency: Perform a backup at least once a day to minimise data loss in case of unexpected issues.
  • Storage Device: Use a reliable external hard drive or USB device to store your backups securely and keep this away from the PC when not in use.
