How to Add a Supplier, Company, Line, and Products in the Product Screen

This guide explains the process for adding a new supplier, company, line, and products in the product screen.

Step 1: Add a New Supplier

  1. Navigate to the Main Product Window: Inventory > Products

    • On the pull-down menu at the bottom of the screen select Supplier.
    • Ensure Business is selected at the top of the screen.
  2. Add the Supplier

    • Press the New button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Enter the supplier's name.
  3. Optional: Add Contact Details

    • Select the Details button at the bottom center of the screen.
    • Fill in the contact details (e.g., email, account number, shipping reference) on the left and right columns.
  4. Usage of Contact Details

    • These details will populate order forms for printing or emailing directly from the system.

Step 2: Add a New Company

  1. Navigate to Company and Line

    • Use the pull-down menu at the bottom of the screen to select Company/Line.
    • Ensure Business is selected at the top of the screen.
  2. Add the Company

    • Press the New button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Enter the company's name (e.g., Redken).
    • Assign the supplier (e.g., Cosmoprof).
  3. Optional: Add Additional Details

    • Select the company, press the Details button, and fill in the blanks as needed.

Step 3: Add a New Line

  1. Select the Company

    • Highlight the company (e.g., Redken) you want to add a line for.
  2. Add the Line

    • Press the New button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Enter the line's name (e.g., "Color").

Step 4: Add Products to a Line

  1. Select the Line

    • Highlight the line you wish to add products to (e.g., "Color").
  2. Add Specific Products

    • Press the New button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Enter product details such as:
      • Name (e.g., "1.0")
      • Buy price (mandatory for professional-use products)
      • Stock levels:
        • Current: Current stock quantity.
        • Maximum: Desired maximum stock.
        • Minimum: Safety stock level.
        • Warning: Level at which the system prompts you to reorder at the point of sale.
  3. Optional: Barcode Scanning

    • Use a barcode scanner to input product codes in the Primary Barcode cell.
  4. Separate Retail and Professional Items

    • Right-click column headers at the top of the screen, go to Properties, and enable Retail.
    • Mark items as Professional Use Only to restrict them from customer purchases.

Tips for Product Variations

  • Include product size to differentiate variations (e.g., travel size, regular, liter).
  • Add additional products or lines by repeating the above steps.
  • For product name search press F3, for barcode search press F5.
