Employee specific functions
Employee Quick Profile
All employee functions that were previously available by left-clicking, right-clicking or double-clicking on employee photos have been combined into a single Employee Quick Profile, accessible by clicking on their photo in the Appointment Book or Walkin Manager.
The layout of this Employee Quick Profile is configurable with the below settings.
General Setup > Use Clock On/Off: Turn this setting ON to track employee hours by clocking them on and off and marking them as Away as necessary throughout the day.
Turn this setting OFF to track employee hours using the Schedule only, and the Clock On button will not appear on the Employee Quick Profile.
General Setup > Show KPIs on Employee Quick Profile: Turn this setting ON to show the employee’s basic KPIs on the Employee Quick Profile:
- Clients seen – the number of clients the employee has seen on this date
- Clients/hour – the number of clients per worked hour on this date
- Service $/hour – the service value per worked hour on this date
Appointment Book Setup > Show Employee Information: Turn this setting ON to show the employee’s capabilities and biography on the Employee Quick Profile.
This is an example of the Employee Quick Profile with all of the above settings turned off.
To close this Employee Quick Profile, click or tap the blank area outside of the appointment book.
Improved usability for clocking on and off
Employees can now intuitively clock on or off using the Employee Quick Profile, accessible from the Appointment Book or Walkin Manager, by toggling “Clock on/off”. Authorized users can clock on or off other employees, based on their elevated security permissions.

An employee can also be marked as ‘Away’ via their profile dialog in the Appointment Book or Walkin Manager by clicking on their photo, selecting the duration they will be away for (optional), then clicking the ‘Away’ button.
Once the employee has been marked as ‘Away’, their profile will look like this (note, the option to ‘Return’ the employee is now available):
Clocking off and declaring tips
(This section is for business that have the “Enter tips when clocking off” setting turned on)
When an employee clocks off, they will be prompted to declare their cash tips. Their daily hours and credit card tips will automatically appear based on processed transactions throughout their day. Employees must enter at least “0” in the Cash Tips field or a warning will appear, and they will not be able to clock off.
(This section is for business that have the “Warn when tips exceed X” setting turned on)
When an employee declares their tips, if the total declared tips is more than the specified percentage higher than the employee’s service sales for the day, a warning will appear, allowing the employee to go back and correct any errors.
Changing employee PINs
(This section is available to users with access to the new “Change own PIN” permission, in the Security section of the Security Setup screen)
Employees can now change their own PIN by clicking on their photo in the Appointment Book or Walkin Manager to access their profile dialog and clicking ‘Change Pin’, and then entering their new PIN twice. Access to this feature will be controlled via existing security permissions. Updated PINs will be effective immediately.
