Editing the Employee for a Transaction

This guide explains how to update the assigned employee for a transaction in Shortcuts. It ensures accurate transaction records and employee performance tracking. The instructions cover changing employees at the Point of Sale (POS) and in the transaction list, including steps for multi-block services.

Key Scenarios for Changing an Employee Assignment:

  • Different Employee Completed the Service: If a service was booked with one employee but completed by another.

  • Incorrect Employee Recorded: Adjust errors made during transaction processing.


Changing the Employee at the Point of Sale

  1. Open the Sale Line: Click on the employee cell in the sale line you want to change.

  2. Select the Correct Employee: A window will appear. Choose the correct employee.

  3. Confirm Update: The updated employee will now display on the sale line.


Changing the Employee for a Multi-Block Service

  1. Open the Sale Line: Click the employee cell for the relevant sale line.

  2. Select Service Blocks: Highlight the service block(s) to be updated.

  3. Assign New Employee: Choose the correct employee at the bottom of the window.

  4. Repeat as Needed: Continue updating blocks until all are correct.

  5. Save Changes: Click 'Done' to finalize.


Changing the Employee in the Transaction List

  1. Access Transactions:

    • Go to the main menu.

    • Click the POS icon.

    • Select the Transactions button.

  2. Open Transaction Details:

    • Double-click the transaction for more information.

  3. Edit Specific Items:

    • Double-click on the service to review service blocks if needed.

    • Select the item with the incorrect employee.

  4. Update the Employee:

    • Click the employee button.

    • Choose the correct employee.

  5. Save Changes: Click 'Done' to save.
