Discount Reason Breakdown Report
The Discount Reason Breakdown Report in Shortcuts Fusion provides a detailed view of all transactions where a discount was applied.
🔍 What the Report Includes
The report lists all discounted transactions, categorized by discount reason. For each entry, you can view:
- Client Name
- Discount Amount
- Amount Received (post-discount)
- Total Number of Transactions under each discount reason
The final section of the report summarizes total discounts by:
- Products
- Services
- Sundry Items
- Series
📊 Key Fields Explained
Field | Description |
---|---|
Employee | The staff member who processed the transaction. (Requires ‘Show Detail’ option enabled in Miscellaneous Report Options) |
Service/Product/Sundry | The item that received the discount. (Also requires ‘Show Detail’ to be enabled) |
# (Count) | Total number of discounts applied for each reason, displayed in maroon. |
Discount Given | The exact dollar value of the discount provided at the point of sale. |
Amount Received | Final amount collected from the client after discount. |
Date | The date the transaction occurred. (Requires ‘Show Detail’ to be enabled) |
Totals | Summary of discounts and percentages for all item types. |

Navigation:
Go to Tools > Reports > Transactions > Discount Reason Breakdown
📌 Tips
- Enable the “Show Detail” option under Miscellaneous Report Options to view more detailed information like employee, service/product, and transaction date.
- Use this report to identify overuse or misuse of specific discount reasons.
