Disabling Online Bookings and SMS Confirmations During Temporary Closures

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for temporarily disabling online bookings and SMS confirmations in Shortcuts. These measures ensure clients cannot book appointments or receive confirmations for unavailable services during temporary closures.

1. Turning Off Online Bookings

If your salon needs to close temporarily, follow these steps to disable online bookings:

  1. Log in to Shortcuts Fusion:

    • Open the Shortcuts Fusion system and log in.

  2. Access Setup Menu:

    • Click the Setup button on the right-hand side of the navigation bar.

  3. Select Employee Settings:

    • Navigate to the Employees tab.

    • Select the relevant employee from the dropdown menu in the top left corner.

  4. Disable Online Booking Availability:

    • Uncheck the box labeled Available for Online Booking.

    • Click Save to apply changes.

  5. Re-enable When Ready:

    • When reopening, simply revisit the settings and re-check the box to allow online bookings.


2. Disabling SMS Confirmations

To prevent SMS confirmations from being sent during closures:

  1. Access Setup Menu:

    • Click the Setup button.

  2. Open Configuration Settings:

    • Select the Configuration button.

  3. Navigate to SMS Settings:

    • Go to the General tab.

    • Click the mobile phone icon labeled Confirmation.

  4. Adjust SMS Confirmation Settings:

    • Select Send Confirmation Request Manually to disable automatic SMS confirmations.

    • Click Done to save changes.

  5. Restart the System:

    • Exit the application by clicking Exit Shortcuts.

    • Reopen the system to apply the changes.
