Adding and Tracking a New Service Report Category in Reports
This guide explains how to add and track a new service category in your reporting system. It is designed to help you categorise services, making it easier to monitor trends and performance.
Key Steps to Add a New Service Report Category / RPTS CATEG
1. Press the Setup icon
-
Navigate to the Setup button to the right of the screen.
-
Press the Services icon
-
Locate the section for Report Categories (RPTS CATEG) at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose a report number under which the new category should be tracked (e.g., Report Number 5).
- Re-label the report category with the category name, e.g. "Massage."
2. Assign the Report Category to a Service
- Expand the Service Category by pressing the +
-
Select the desired Service.
-
Press Details at the bottom of the screen
-
For each Service block, tick the correct Report Category box, e.g. "Block 1 Counts Towards"
- Please note, multiple Report Categories can be assigned to a single service if required.
- Please note, services set up utilising more than 1 'Block' should have a Report Category assigned to each 'Block'
3. Finalise the Setup
-
Confirm the changes by clicking Done.
-
Shortcuts will now track all services assigned to this category under the specified report.
How It Works
-
Any service added in the future, such as a 60-minute massage, a 90-minute massage, or a shiatsu massage, will automatically be grouped under the Massage category.
-
Existing services like haircuts, nail services, or colour treatments will continue to track under their respective report categories.
Benefits of Using Categories
-
Simplified Reporting: Group similar services together for streamlined data analysis.
-
Improved Organisation: Easily locate and review service performance data.
-
Customisable Tracking: Tailor categories to meet your business needs as new services are introduced.
-
Targeted Marketing: Use these Report Categories to aid in the TargetME marketing feature, to target clients who have visited for a service that utilises that Report Category.
