SMS a customer from the Appointment Book

Learn how to send an ad-hoc SMS messages are sent to individual customers to keep them up to date on things e.g. if you’re running late.

ℹ️ This feature is available in Grow and Pro plans.

ℹ️ This refers to SMSs sent to clients on an individual basis via the Appointment Book, such as to notify them that you are running late. To set up other types of SMS campaigns, please refer to the following:

Select the appointment belonging to the customer you wish to SMS

  • From the Menu navigate to Appointments. Alternatively, you can use the Appointment Book view.
  • Click in the middle of the appointment to display the Details pop-up with the customer’s details.
  • Click on the three dots icon on the right-hand side.

  • Select "SMS customer" from the menu.

  • Here you can either write a new message, or use an existing message template.
  • When you are ready to send your message, select ‘Send’, and wait for ‘Your message was sent successfully’ to appear.

⚠️Be sure to consider the following when sending individual client SMSs:

  • You can only SMS customers who have a mobile number on file.
  • What kinds of messages your client has opted in to (e.g. Appointment and Marketing messages).
  • How many SMSs your message will require. A single SMS uses 160 characters (including opt out instructions), so anything more will affect how many you get billed for.
