Increase bookings with automated marketing messages

Learn how to set up ongoing automated marketing messages via Email and/or SMS.

Engage customers when it matters most with a range of automated marketing messages. Whether it’s confirming appointments, reminding customers to rebook, rewarding customer referrals or providing special birthday offers, learn how to create and manage campaigns that boost loyalty and retention.
 

Access the Messages menu

  • Open the menu by clicking the three lines in the top left-hand corner, then select "Messages."

Choose a campaign to set up

  •  From the Menu select Messages.
  • Select any message in the following categories you wish to set up.
    • After booking
    • Before arriving
    • After visiting
    • Ongoing marketing campaigns

ℹ️ There are many message types available under these categories. Choose the ones that suit your business' goals.

  • Happy birthday
  • New client welcome
  • Referral thank you
  • No-show
  • Time to see you again (Rebooking)
  • We miss you
  • Once you've selected the relevant message, select the “New” icon.

Choose campaign name, send time and audience filters

  • Enter the details of the campaign including:
    • Name of the campaign
    • The gender of customers the campaign will be sent to
    • The send time
    • Note: check the “Description” to identify the audience of the campaign.

Send campaign via Email

  • Select “Email” from the campaign screen. Note, you can see the Active status of the campaign next to the channel.

  • You can customise details such as your email header, image, subject line and body text. 
  • You can select the “Insert field” dropdown for various personalisation fields to include in your message, such as Customer Name, Appointment Time, and more.

  • You may also choose to include an Offer and/or a Book button. If you don’t want to use these, select the X in the top right-hand corner of these options.

  • You can preview and send yourself a test of the email using the relevant buttons.

  • Once you’re happy with your email, select the green “Activate” button.
  • Select the "Done" icon in the bottom right corner to save your changes. 

Send campaign via SMS

  • Select “SMS” from the campaign screen. Note, you can see the Active status of the campaign next to the channel.

  • Select if SMS should “Always’ be sent” or “Only if no email will be sent”.

  • Enter the message you want to use in the SMS. You can select the “Insert field” dropdown for various personalisation fields to include in your message, such as Customer Name, Appointment Time, and more.

  • You can send yourself a test of the SMS using the "Send test" button.
  • Once you’re happy with your SMS, select the green “Activate” button.
  • Select the "Done" icon in the bottom right corner to save your changes.
⚠️ Be sure to consider how many SMSs your message will require. A single SMS uses 160 characters (including opt out instructions, personalisation fields), so anything more will affect how many you get billed for.

An active campaign is indicated by a green dot next to the channel. A grey dot means the campaign is not active.

View past marketing campaigns

In the Messages screen select the relevant campaign. Here you can see past, active, inactive and draft campaigns. You can delete, edit, deactivate and re-send existing campaigns at any time.
