Remove an employee
Learn how to deactivate or remove an employee from the Appointment Book.
ℹ️ This feature is available in the Pro plan.
⚠️You will not be able to deactivate an employee unless all of their appointments have been re-assigned. Check you’ve canceled or re-assigned any appointments that the deactivated employee has scheduled after their last day. Don’t forget to inform your clients of the change if needed.
Deactivate an Employee
- From the Menu navigate to Employees, then select Employees.
- Select the employee you wish to deactivate.
- Scroll down to the "Status" field and change the the toggle from "Active" to "Inactive".
- If you don’t see a toggle but the status says "Active" (and "Booked in Future Roster"), this means the employee has appointments booked in the future. You’ll need to move these appointments to another employee or cancel them before the toggle becomes visible.

You will also need to remove any holidays, tasks or unbookable time booked in their schedule.
- Select “Done” in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- The employee will no longer be visible in your list of employees or your Appointment Book. The employee’s history, clients and data will still be accessible.
Remove login access
- Select the employee.
- Select “Roles” at the bottom of the screen.
- Set “Login access” toggle to “No”.
- Select “Done” to save your changes.
- The employee will no longer have access to your Shortcuts Aire workspace.
