Set up upsell features for Online Booking

Related Services is an Online Booking enhancement that allows you to create rules so pre-requisite and complementary services are booked together during an online booking.

Types of Related Services

  • Required services: Specify additional mandatory services that must be selected to complete an Online Booking for a particular service (e.g. selecting a wash service is mandatory, when a colour service is selected).
  • Recommended services: Upsell by recommending other services that go well with a specific service during an Online Booking selection (e.g. recommend an eyebrow tint service, when an eyelash tint is selected).

Access Related Services Setup

  • From the menu navigate to Business settings, then select Online booking.
  • Click on the "Related services" icon in the lower left-hand corner.

Set up Related Services

  • Click on the “New” icon in the bottom right-hand corner.

  • Name the relationship between the Services (e.g. Finish required with Colour Service).
  • Change “Status” toggle to Active (if the toggle is inactive, this rule will no longer appear on your online booking website)

  • Select the type of relationship they have:
    • Require another service: Ensure that clients are booking required Services at the same time as their selected Service.
    • Recommend other services: Recommend complementary to clients during the Online Booking process.

  • Select the Primary Service that this setting will affect (i.e. the Service that clients are selecting as the primary reason for their appointment).
  • Then select the Service(s) that are required or recommended with the Primary Service. In other words:
    • If “Require another service” is selected: The Service(s) that is required in order for someone to book the Primary Service.

  • If “Recommend other services” is selected: The Service(s) that will be recommended when a client books the Primary Service.

  • Press “Save” at the bottom of the screen to complete your changes and apply the rule to your online booking website.
 
Check your Related Services:
  • See existing Related Services on the left hand side of the screen.
  • Click on any to edit.
  • Preview your customer’s Online Booking experience by going to your Online Booking website (Business settings >  Online booking > see field “Online booking URL”) and try making a booking for a service with a Related service rule.
