Block out time in the Appointment Book with Tasks

Learn how to create a Task (such as a lunch break) in your Appointment Book.

What is a Task?

  • A task is a designated block of time in your Appointment Book reserved for yourself, such as for lunch, meetings, or personal time.
  • Tasks prevent customers from booking appointments during that time slot, such as through Online Booking.

Creating a Task

  • In the Appointment Book, begin by selecting the desired date and time for the task. Make sure you are selecting in the column of the employee who will have this task. For example, if Peter wants to take his lunch from 12-12:30PM, we would select the 12PM rectangle accordingly.

  • At the bottom of the screen, select "Task".

  • Create a task by selecting the “New task” icon in the bottom left-hand corner.

  • Fill in the details of your task and ensure its Status is set to “Active”.
  • Select “Save" in the bottom right-hand corner to save your changes.

  • You can then select this task from the available options in the Appointment Book.
  • Click "Done" in the bottom right-hand corner to add the task to the selected time slot in the Appointment Book.
